Marina death ‘not suspicious’

POLICE say the circumstances surrounding a body being found in Hartlepool’s Marina are not suspicious at this time.

But officers have yet to formerly identify the body which was pulled from the water on Friday last week,

It was discovered by a fisherman following extensive searches by expert police divers who were drafted in from Northumbria Police to search for missing town man Joshua Willingale.

The last confirmed sighting of the 24-year-old was captured on CCTV at 1.42am on Saturday, September 15, in the area near the Premier Inn, at Jackson’s Dock.
