AN exhibition is days away from being launched to explain more about the Freemasons.
Officials from the town lodges of the organisation are planning the display in the Central Library, York Road, Hartlepool. Their aim is to show the work they do and the charities they support.
The display will be running from Monday, July 29, for five days.
John Thompson is the provincial junior grand warden for the province of Durham, which is based in the Harte Lodge, in Raby Road, Hartlepool.
He said the display will show the Freemasons are just normal people who work to help charities.
Mr Thompson said lodges support worthy causes in Hartlepool and the display will explain that as well as tell more about the group.
The Freemasons have two lodges in the town – the one in Raby Road and another in Regent Street, on the Headland.
