Members of the public can ask questions at upcoming Hartlepool Council meetings

MEMBERS of the public are being urged to go along to a series of council meetings.

Hartlepool Borough Council has announced its meetings schedule for January and under the council’s new governance arrangements, following the abolition of the elected mayor system, members of the public can now ask questions at the council’s five main policy committees.

All meetings for January will take place in the Civic Centre unless otherwise stated:

On Friday, January 3, at 2pm finance and policy committee. Monday, January 6 at 10am adult services committee. Wednesday, January 8 at 10am licensing sub-committee. Wednesday, January 15 at 10am licensing committee.

Thursday, January 16, at 9.30am regeneration services committee. Monday, January 20, at 9.30am neighbourhood services committee.

Wednesday, January 22, at 10am planning committee and on Thursday, January 23 at 9.30am audit and governance committee and 4pm children’s services committee.

On, Friday, January 24, at 9.30am there will be a finance and policy committee and on Monday, January 27 at 10am a health and wellbeing board.

On Thursday, January 30, at 7pm there is a full council meeting and on Friday, January 31 at 9.30am a finance and policy committee.
