Memory Lane: Sail back in time to ship's Hartlepool rebirth

It is testament to the vision and determination of the people behind the restoration of HMS Warrior and the dedication and skill of the workforce employed on the project, that together they transformed what was a floating wreck into a ship of renewed splendour.

During its time in Hartlepool, people had the chance to see the once proud ship returned to her former glory.

And they gave her a rousing send-off when she left the town on her way to her new home in Portsmouth in 1987.
