Two men have been fined after a carpet and air-conditioning unit were dumped in Horden.
John Bowes was prosecuted after the goods were found at Warren House Gill last June, Peterlee Magistrates’ Court heard.
Through CCTV footage from the scene, a Durham County Council warden traced a Ford Transit belonging to Andrew Forth.
In an interview Forth admitted fly-tipping and said that Bowes was with him.
Bowes, 31, of Attlee Avenue, Blackhall, pleaded guilty to knowingly permitting controlled waste to be deposited.
He received fines totalling £480.
In an earlier hearing Forth, 29, of Elizabeth Street, Blackhall Colliery, was fined £352 and ordered to pay £410 costs and a £35 victim surcharge.
