Middlesbrough man faces uncertain future - but admits he wants to move abroad
Julien De Sart has confirmed he wants to leave Middlesbrough as his future remains uncertain.
The 23-year-old joined Middlesbrough in February 2016 but has failed to impress at the Riverside Stadium having made just a handful of first team appearances.
He was shipped out on loan to Zlute Waragem last season, where he made just seven appearances, and the Belgian club have decided not to take up the option to turn the deal into a permanent one.
That leaves De Sart facing an uncertain future, but the midfielder admitted he is keen to move abroaddespite having a year remaining on his Middlesbrough contract.
Speaking to Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws, De Sart said: "That turned out to be the last month from conversations"
"Currently I have no idea where my future lies.
"My contract with Middlesbrough runs for another year. I prefer to go abroad."
