Tony Pulis’s side have agreed to visit National League North side Spennymoor Town in their first match in this country, hinting that they could be in action abroad prior to their Brewery Field trip on Tuesday, July 10, with a 7.45pm kick-off.

Moors enjoyed an excellent campaign in their first ever season in the sixth tier of English football, only for a huge fixture backlog to drop Jason Ainsley’s men down to eighth place, narrowly missing out on a place in the end-of-season play-offs.

Boro have already set up games at Accrington Stanley (on Saturday, July 21), Rochdale (Tuesday, July 24) and Hartlepool United (Saturday, July 28).

The visit to Pools has seen an alteration of kick-off time, with the Victoria Park meeting with Matthew Bates’ men now scheduled for a 1pm start.

Boro will have further matches ahead of the big league kick-off on August 4.
