Missing man is urged to visit mum in hospital

THE ill mum of a missing man has urged him to come visit her in hospital.

Hartlepool man Darren Waller has been missing since leaving his mum’s home in the Foggy Furze area of town at 5.30pm on January 9.

The 36-year-old’s ex-wife and his three young children have made emotional pleas for him to come home and now his mum has added her voice to the appeal.

Kathleen Waller, 60, said: “Darren, we just want you to come home or let someone know that you are safe.

“You’re not in any trouble, we just need to know that you are OK. I would love it if you could come and visit me in hospital.

“We are all very worried about you and the children are missing you so much. They want to know that their dad is safe.

“Please get in touch with one of us or the police.”

The Mail reported on Wednesday how Darren may have been seen in York Road, in Hartlepool, between 3.30pm-4pm on January 19 or January 20.

Another siting has now been reported in the Lancaster Road/Powlett Road area of Hartlepool, between 5pm-7pm on Friday, January 14.

He is said to have just avoided being hit by a yellow Skoda taxi after stumbling into the road.

He was said to be wearing a blue hooded top, a scarf around his face, dark bottoms and white Reebok Classic trainers.

Anyone who saw the man, particularly the taxi driver, are urged to contact Cleveland Police on (01642) 326326.
