Last year the event raised around £15,000 and organiser Kev McGuire said it would be great if they could reach near that again.

Although marketed as a mods event, Kevin said there is a wide range of music on the Saturday and on the Sunday it will be a day of soul music.

Headlining the event will be Steve Brookes, an original band member with The Jam, and the compere during the weekend will be Gary Shail, who appeared in the film Quadrophenia.

Kev said: “We have bands coming from all over, including London, as well as local bands of course. And, we have people coming from all over the country, as well as a couple of people from France.

“It should be a really good event.”

This year there will also be a range of stall selling mod-themed items from around noon and bands start at 3pm.
