A motorcyclist was left with a series of broken bones and bruising to his body after a crash with a car.
Police investigating the collision are now seeking witnesses to the incident, which happened in Burn Road in Hartlepool on Friday.
It involved a Fiat Bravo and a Yamaha bike and happened near to the traffic lights at the entrance to Tesco at 4.25pm.
As a result of the collision, the 58-year-old man who was on the bike was taken to James Cook University Hospital, where he was treated for various fractures and bruising to his body.
Any witnesses who may have seen the collision are asked to contact Pc Andrew Overton from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 091972.
