THE mum of missing man Scott Fletcher is refusing to give up hope of seeing her son again after marking a month since he disappeared.
The 27-year-old from Hartlepool has not been seen since Wednesday, May 11.
Scott’s parents Julie, 62, and John, 64, have been counting the days and are becoming increasingly worried. They are again urging people to rack their brains to see if they have even the smallest piece of information that could help find their son.
Julie said: “It is such a huge worry for us, it’s just not like Scott at all. It’s getting harder and harder.
“The police have said there is nothing to indicate anything untoward has occurred, but the longer it goes on the more you start to wonder if something bad has happened.”
The parents, from the Throston area of town, are particularly concerned as they say Scott would not leave his four-year-old daughter Lucie and stepson Bradley, seven.
Julie added: “He loves his children and wouldn’t just disappear like this.
“We have not heard anything since he went missing and we would appeal for anyone with information to get in touch.
“The littlest thing could make such a big difference. If anyone has any information about Scott then they should ring the police. We just want to hear something.”
Scott was last seen at around 8.20pm on May 11 in a layby opposite the Jet garage on the A181 at Wheatley Hill.
Reports suggest he could have got into a black or dark coloured Renault Clio on a 54 registration plate being driven by a blonde-haired woman. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and black jeans.
Scott is also known to have connections in the Wheatley Hill, West Rainton and Cumbria areas.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Acting Detective Inspector Alan Todd on (01642) 302178.
