A show about love, self-obsession and solace is being staged next week.
Half A Person: My Life as Told by The Smiths is being staged at Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre.
The show will take place on Friday, June 19, from 7.30pm.
The star of the show is a character called William, a twenty-something Londoner who drifts from coffee shop to bar, falling in love, self-obsessing and finding solace in The Smiths.
A show spokesman said: “Torn between conflicting loyalties to the girl of his dreams and his best friend, William has the chance to become more than half a person. An emotionally charged, coming of age story, blending wry comedy and the music of a beloved cult band, sung live.”
The show is for ages 14 and over.
Tickets cost £7 and are available on the box office telephone 01429 890000.
