MORE than 1,800 homes in County Durham have been left without power this morning.
Power was lost in 1,865 homes in Trimdon at 3.48am today. It was caused by a faulty cable in the high voltage network.
Northern Powergrid have been working to gradually bring back the power.
A generator is set to be used to power the houses while the problem can be fixed.
It is estimated that it will be back up and running by 2pm.
