New police appeal for missing Christopher Turnbull

POLICE have renewed their appeals to find a 61-year-old man who went missing more than three weeks ago.

Officers investigating the disappearance of Christopher Turnbull from Hartlepool are asking again for information as to his whereabouts.

They say Christopher was last seen in Whitby Street, Hartlepool, at around 5pm on Sunday, April 21.

Police are looking into whether he has left the town and are asking people whether they may have seen him on public transport or heard from him since that date.

A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: “As he was seen near to Hartlepool train station, police are looking into whether he may have travelled out of the area, but are keen to speak to anyone who may have heard from Christopher.

“They are also appeal for Christopher himself to get in touch and let them know that he is safe and well.”

Christopher is described as around 5ft 10in-tall, with receding grey hair.

He also wears glasses and is of thin build.

He was last seen wearing dark blue jeans and a dark coloured blazer or suit jacket and brown shoes.

Christopher is said to require medication, which he may not have taken with him.

Anyone who may have seen him is asked to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency 101 number.
