A NEW sponsor has come on board for the Hartlepool Best of Health Awards and bosses can’t wait to honour this year’s winners.
Heather Whyman, the chief executive of the charitable Cleveland Fire Support Network, told of her delight at backing the Hartlepool Mail’s Best of Health Awards.
It is extremely comforting to know that among us are people who continually strive to make a real difference and for that I am eternally grateful.Heather Whyman, Cleveland Fire Support Network
The competition heralds the work of the excellent staff in the health care sector in the Hartlepool area.
Heather said: “The Cleveland Fire Support Network is yet again thrilled to be part of such a momentous occasion, recognising those unsung medical heroes within our medical arena.
“We all face new challenges, cuts to budgets, changes to working hours, added work pressures.
“But through all of these uncertainties, it is extremely comforting to know that among us are people who continually strive to make a real difference and for that I am eternally grateful.
“Well done to everyone who has been nominated for a health award and good luck for the night.”
Is there a midwife, health care assistant or care worker who really does warrant some recognition.
We want you to put them in the running for an honour by entering them in this year’s awards.
Perhaps you have had excellent treatment from an optometrist or a hospital team. Whatever the cause, there’s a chance for them to win one of the categories in this year’s awards.
This year, the awards are being backed by the North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, the Hartlepool and Stockton-on-Tees Clinical Commissioning Group, Cleveland Fire Support Network, and Seneca Homes.
Now all we need is the contenders.
It is really easy to nominate. All you have to do is fill in the form in today’s paper and send it to us, or go online and visit the website at www.jpne-events.co.uk/hartlepool-best-of-health/.
Feel free to nominate as many worthy causes as you wish. We want to make sure that this a year when the judges have a really difficult task on their hands to choose a winner.
The deadline for entries is May 26.
The winners will be announced at a grand finals night at the Hardwick Hall Hotel on June 18.
