FIREFIGHTERS and brigade staff have been kitted out in a new uniform so they can be easily identified by residents.
Both operational and non-operational staff at Cleveland Fire Brigade are wearing new outfits when out in the community.
Ian Hayton, chief fire officer, said “Staff at the brigade are proud and passionate about what we do and the services we deliver to make a positive difference to every local citizen’s safety and quality of life.
“Our new uniform is a key element to the future vision of the brigade and with our investments into community fire stations across the area, we will continue as always to provide a professional and efficient modern fire and rescue service to all our communities.
“The public can expect to see our staff carrying out their day-to-day duties in a navy shirt with Cleveland Fire Brigade and our logo clearly marked with a red T-shirt underneath and navy trousers.
“All staff will continue to carry identity badges so they can be formerly identified.”
