FOOTBALL fans are being warned that no trains will be running before the Tyne-Wear derby game.
Newcastle United take on Sunderland at noon on Sunday.
British Transport Police are advising fans planning to travel to Newcastle that engineering works are set to take place on the railway at Pelaw.
It will mean no train services will be running between the two cities on Sunday.
Fans of both clubs based in Hartlepool and east Durham are being advised to find other forms of transport.
Police are advising Sunderland supporters to take up the offer of free coach travel to the stadium provided by Sunderland FC.
