Radio 1's Big Weekend: Line-up announced for Exeter festival

Mumford and Sons, Bastille, Meghan Trainor and Biffy Clyro are among the acts confirmed for Radio 1’s Big Weekend, which takes place in May in Exeter.

The announcement was made by DJ Scott Mills on Radio 1's Breakfast Show today. .

50,000 music fans are expected to attend the two day festival on May 28 and 29 where Chase and Status, Bring Me The Horizon, Craig David, Ellie Goulding, The 1975 and Jake Bugg are also slated to appear.

The BBC will also be offering 16-19 year-olds the chance to attend an ‘academy’ in the run-up to the event designed to inspire teenagers to take the next step into their creative careers.
