One person has been taken to hospital following an incident at Billingham railway station this evening.

The North East Ambulance Service were called to the station on Marsh House Avenue at 4:44pm and took one person to North Tees Hospital via ambulance.

The extent of their injuries is not known. Crews left the scene at 5pm.
