SUPPORTERS of a cancer charity are invited to put on their glad rags for a night of glamour.
Pansies breast cancer support group are to hold a glittering fundraising ball at Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience.
Proceeds from the night, on Saturday, April 11, will help to support women who are fighting breast cancer.
It will feature a sumptuous three-course meal and a live band with music from Cabaret Time.
Pansies founder member Isobel Wilson said: “This is about our third or fourth ball, but it is our first one at the historic quay.
“It should be a good night and we hope it will be well supported.
“It is also a good excuse to get dressed up!”
The venue can cater for up to 100 people and tickets are £35 each.
The event will begin at 7pm and a table draw and raffle will also help to boost proceeds.
Isobel added: “All the profits from the event will go to Pansies funds.
“They help ladies who have been diagnosed with cancer by paying for things like mastectomy wear and wigs, but also things like child care and travel costs.”
Pansies are looking for donations for raffle prizes.
Members get together at the Grand Hotel, Swainson Street every Monday to offer support to each other.
The drop in session runs between 10am-noon and new members are always welcome.
