Park's fun-packed activities programme for the family

A number of events have been lined up for families to take part in at a park in Hartlepool next week.

Youngsters and their parents enjoying an outdoor activity at Summerhill Country Park.

Places are available for six activities and events that form part of the 100-acre Summerhill Country Park’s summer holiday programme.

Activities are on from Tuesday to Friday and include a woodland adventure based on the ‘Guess How Much I Love You’ books.

There will be a family friendly competition to find hidden markers using a map, and a chance to join the countryside team for fun outdoor activities – where participants are asked to wear old clothes for a messy session.

Also, there will be a instructor-led climbing activity on one of Europe’s largest boulder parks, a high ropes challenge and fun event involving rope walking on a ‘slack line’.
