Coastguard rescue near the shores of Hartlepool
The Hartlepool Coastguard Rescue Team was called into action to search for “a high risk missing person.”
The team was called at 12.42am on Monday, November 25 by Humber Coastguard, along with Seaham Coastguard and Hartlepool RNLI, to search for the person in the North sands area.
Rescuer services arrived at the scene and liaised with police.
After searching north and south of Steetley pier for several hours, the casualty returned to a family members home and the teams were stood down.
