Driver asked to come forward as search for Hartlepool man missing for one month continues

Police are looking to speak to a driver as the search for missing Hartlepool man Gabriel Kariuki continues.

Mr Kariuki has been missing for over one month after last being seen by his mum on the evening of Monday, May 17, in the Grange Road area of Hartlepool

Officers later released CCTV pictures they believe could show Gabriel boarding a train to Middlesbrough at 8.28am on Tuesday, May 18.

Now police have made a fresh appeal in their inquiries as they released a CCTV image of a vehicle on Friday, June, 18, to try and identify the driver.

The image shows a vehicle driving along Mainsforth Terrace, in Hartlepool, in the direction of Newburn Bridge, on Tuesday, May 18, at 12.44am.

Police have said that the driver of the vehicle may be able to assist with inquiries and have appealed for them to come forward.

Gabriel is described as a black male, medium build, around 5ft 6in tall with black hair which was braided on top and shaved at the sides.

The force say he was wearing a blue corduroy jacket with a cream shearling collar when he went missing.

This jacket was a waist-length, jean jacket style.

He was also wearing black tracksuit bottoms, a green hooded top underneath the jacket and orange Nike brand trainers. He had a black rucksack with him.
