England favourites to beat Germany - but how do you fancy their chances
Nerves are rattling before England play Germany in the last 16 of Euro 2020, with the winners seen as having a great chance of reaching the final.
The game kicks off at 5pm on Tuesday, June 29 at Wembley and bookies make England slight favourites at 6/4 with Germany at 2/1.
The German public doesn’t seem to be too confident, despite a series of triumphs over the English since 1966. But what do our readers think?
Judging from their comments on Facebook when we asked for scoreline predictions, they still don’t fancy England’s chances at all.

Rose Wharton said: “2-1 to Germany”. Margaret Crosbie posted simply: “England 1, Germany 3”, while Anne Jones’ prediction was identical to Margaret’s, 3-1 to the old rivals. And they were among the more optimistic forecasts.
Graeme Eggerton went for: “Germany 3, England 0”, while Rob Robson said bluntly: “Germany 4-0”.
However, there was a little optimism out there. Adrian Hardy went for a 2-1 England victory, while Andrew Potts predicted a 4-2 win, although that had to be taken with a pinch of salt.
Andrew said: “4-2 England – Hurst hat trick. Get your money on it.”
Les Dixon advised Andrew: “They won't pay as it’s bound to go to extra time mate.”
No one seems to be relishing the prospect of extra time or – worse still – penalties.
The winners of England vs Germany will progress to meet either Ukraine or Sweden in a quarter-final in Rome on Saturday, July 3 at 8pm. The winners of that would play either Denmark or the Czech Republic in the semi-finals.
