Police confirm identity of woman found dead in Teesside home

Deborah Wilkinson (nee Wood-Woolley), known as Debbie, was discovered with a head injury at her house in Farthingale Way, Hemlington, Middlesbrough, at around 7pm on Friday.

The 42-year-old's family paid tribute to her today: "The family of Deborah Wilkinson nee Wood-Woolley would like to express our sincere gratitude for the overwhelming outpouring of sympathy and love for our family during our loss.

"We are heartbroken by the tragic and unexpected loss. Debbie was a loving daughter, mother, sister and friend to many. We appreciate all the kind words received during our time of grief."

A 73 year old man arrested on suspicion of murder remains on police bail and inquiries are continuing.
