Police hunt robbers who grabbed victim by the throat and stole mobile phone

Three men are being hunted by police after they robbed someone in Hartlepool.

The 40-year-old man was robbed whilst walking through a cut from Throston Grange Lane to Whinchat Close in Hartlepool.

The incident occurred on Sunday, October 30, at around 9.25pm when the victim was approached by three males who asked him for a light. One of the men then grabbed the victim by the throat and stole his mobile phone.

The three suspects are all described as white males, aged in their early twenties and all of athletic or muscular build.

One of the males is described as being taller than the other two men and around 6ft tall with short hair which is shaven at the sides and he was wearing dark coloured jeans, a plain zip-up jacket and shoes.

The victim was not injured as a result of the incident.
