Officers are appealing for information to trace three males who made inappropriate comments to a teenage girl in the town.

The trio, who were travelling in a white van, made inappropriate comments to the 15-year-old girl as she walked along Catcote Road in Hartlepool.

The incident happened on Monday, February 15, at around 10.10pm between the Summerhill Park entrance and Elwick Road.

The driver of the van is described as a white man aged between 25-30-years-old. He had a moustache and stubble and he was of large build with a local accent. The van is described as a white front-boxed van with an orange light on the top with a flatblack style rear.

The van left the scene after another female driver intervened and took the victim home.
