Police have issued a warning to the public after potentially deadly medication was stolen from a pharmacy van in Hartlepool.
The van was outside Clayfields Pharmacy on Oxford Road, yesterday afternoon when it was broken into and a range of medications stolen.
Lacidpine, 2mg – 28 tablets (a blood pressure medication);
Irbesartan – 4 boxes each containing 28 tablets (blood pressure medication);
Levetiracetam – 3 boxes each containing 60 tablets (epilepsy medication);
Duloxetine – 3 boxes each containing 28 tablets (antidepressants);
Various asthma inhalers and other items.
These items, especially the blood pressure medication, can be fatal, particularly if taken in large quantities.
If anyone finds the medication, they should hand it in at a pharmacy, or to any police or community support officer.
