Plymouth will feel the force of Hartlepool United’s travelling army of fans this weekend.
Around 120 Poolies are expected to end the season on a high by attending tomorrow’s final game of the season dressed as stormtroopers from the Star Wars films.
A number of fans travelling by coach will set off on the 330-mile journey from Victoria Park at lunchtime today.
Spirts are high ahead of the game with Pools’ place in League Two secured weeks ago.
John Pearson, who organises the annual fancy dress tradition, said: “Everybody looks forward to the last day of the season, especially when we have had a disappointing season which we have.
“It is an opportunity to spend time with the people who we have travelled with throughout the season.”

A number of fans have been trying on their costumes ready for the game against Plymouth Argyle who are going for promotion.
Hartlepool United entered into the spirit at last Saturday’s home game by playing Star Wars music over the sound system.
Boss Craig Hignett has said he thinks this year’s stormtrooper theme is a great idea and admitted to being a big fan of the movie franchise.
John earlier told the club website: “Stormtroopers have come close to making an appearance in the past but it’s topical at the moment and we feel like now is their time.”
The costumes are being provided by Eden Fancy Dress shop near Sedgefield which has supplied fans for a number of years.
The tradition has been a big hit in recent years with fans have attending games dressed as Smurfs, Oompa Loompas, penguins and Where’s Wally with hundreds of fans enjoying a Bob Marley-themed reggae party last year.
