DOG lovers are being urged to go along to a Bulldog Day UK event being held in Hartlepool next month.
Bulldog Day UK takes place on Sunday, October 12 at the Rossmere Centre, in Rossmere Way, Hartlepool, between 10.30am and 3pm.
Parking at the venue is free and doors are open from 10.30am.
Organisers describe the event as an annual education fun day for everyone who loves bulldogs.
At the event dog owners will get information, advice and demonstrations from Vicky Collins-Nattrass, who is the founder of Bulldog Day UK.
There will also be stalls, refreshments, a rescue parade, dog fancy dress, children’s corner, tombola and raffle, fun classes, crafty cakes and a colouring and drawing competition.
Handprint Art Studio, which supports adults with learning disabilities, will also be part of the day and there will be canvasses and drawings all bulldog based.
Organiser Michele Stonehouse said: “Vicky Collins-Nattras, who is the founder of Bulldog Day UK, will be having her drop in centre with information, advice and demonstrations and her new book will be on sale and signed on the day.
“People from Hartlepool, the surrounding area, Norfolk, Scotland and southern England are all coming to join us in a weekend of fun.
“We have a great day planned.”
Admission is £2 for adults, £1 for children and £5 for a family. Any profits raised in aid of Bulldog Rescue & Rehoming Trust.
