A POPULAR table top sale has returned with a bang.

The Burn Valley North Residents’ Association and St Matthew’s Community Centre held the table top sale and coffee morning on Saturday at the community centre, in Elwick Road, Hartlepool.

Visitors had the chance to enjoy free activities for children, a free bouncy castle, craft stalls, cake stall and a raffle.

There was also refreshments available.

Organisers say there is a really thriving community spirit in the Burn Valley area and they have appealed for more people to join the association.

Dawn Robinson is treasurer of the residents’ association and committee member at the community centre.

Dawn said: “The table top sales and coffee mornings are always very popular with the local community.

“We tend to run them for three months, have a month off and then run them again for another three months.

“There is a really fantastic community spirit around here and there is always plenty of things going on at the community centre.

“We are also always looking for new people to join, the more people the better.”

Organisers say everyone is welcome to attend future table top sales and tables cost £5.

People are also encouraged to go along the monthly meetings of the Burn Valley North Residents’ Association which are held inside the community centre.
