According to John Percy at the Telegraph, Boro are reportedly close to agreeing a deal for Wolves defender Danny Batth on a season-long loan.

The 27-year-old centre-back is still the captain at Molineux, but has struggled for game time since the arrival of Nuno Espírito Santo.

Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday had previously been linked with the defender.

It's been well documented that Boro boss Tony Pulis is chasing another winger this window.

Still, it could be argued Boro need another body in defence, especially if Pulis sticks with a back three.

Boro have also made a late move to re-sign winger Albert Adomah from Aston Villa, according to Sky Sports' Keith Downie.

But, a deal could depend on whether Villa are able to land Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham on loan.

Sky Sports have also released the upcoming EFL fixtures which will be televised in October and November.

Boro's trip to Sheffield Wednesday will now take place on Friday, October 19.

The following month, Tony Pulis' side will face Stoke at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday, November 3.
