A PRESTIGIOUS private school is showing off plans to move to an exclusive housing estate.
Bosses at Red House School, in Norton, have submitted a planning application to relocate to Wynyard.
As part of the plans, the school will have a sixth form for the first time in its 83-year history.
Headmaster Alex Taylor said: “We are extremely proud of the school’s academic and sporting achievements over the years and have recently received a glowing inspection report highlighting the very high standards of education, personal achievement and support that the pupils receive.
“The new facility at Wynyard would provide us with space to grow our first-class reputation - a purpose-built school set within the parklands of Wynyard with exciting modern facilities that will be second to none in the area.”
Mr Taylor said the school hopes to get approval for the new site over the next few months and staff and pupils hope to be in the new school by September next year.
Prospective pupils and their parents will be able to see computer-generated plans of the proposed new facility during an open morning at the current school, The Old Vicarage and 36 The Green, Norton, this Saturday from 10am-1pm.
