COMEDY fans can laugh their socks off and help raise money for a good cause at an upcoming event.
Hartlepool domestic abuse charity Harbour is organising the comedy night at the Woodcutter pub to raise cash for victims in need of emergency help.
Proceeds from the night will go to Harbour’s’ hardship fund to help domestic abuse victims in urgent need of a new home to move on.
The event on Friday, September 2, is being organised by support worker Amanda Binks.
She said: “If someone is absolutely desperate and can’t get resources we are able to give help with the basics.”
Amanda has teamed up with Nick Banks from the Rib Ticklers comedy club to stage the event at the pub in Kingsley Avenue, Hartlepool.
A series of local comedians have been lined up for the night which runs from 7pm to 11.30pm.
Tickets are £3.50.
