A PUB worker has been honoured at a ceremony set up to recognise team work.

James Neville, who is a kitchen team leader at the Traveller’s Rest on Stockton Road, Hartlepool, was one of over 30 apprentices who were officially recognised at a ceremony at Alton Towers.

James was awarded a Team Player Apprenticeship qualification by his employer Spirit Pub Company.

The Food Production and Cooking Apprenticeship is a 12 month learning and development programme that includes on the job training, individually tailored learning and one to one support, which results in a qualification worth the equivalent of five GCSEs.

James said: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the apprenticeship, being able to learn while I work was definitely a key draw for me; allowing me to learn new skills while also building on my practical experience.”
