Pull your dancing shoes on

PEOPLE are urged to get their dancing shoes on to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee,

Trimdon Station Community Centre, in Station Road East, is joining in the historic celebrations to mark Queen Elizabeth’s 60 years on the throne.

The venue will host a Jubilee 50:50 dance on Saturday, June 2 and wants to see as many people as possible joining in the spirit.

The event will run from 7.30pm to 10.30pm and entry includes a pie and peas supper or vegetarian option.

Centre manager Derek Bradley said: “The centre benefits from a fantastic sprung dance floor and bar facilities.

“We are all very much looking forward to the Jubilee celebrations and want the community to join in what we hope to be a memorable occasion.”

People are advised to get their tickets early as places are limited.
