TOP pooch Ruby has earned herself some Christmas treats after being crowned the Mail’s Santa Paws winner.
The playful pup captured our judges’ hearts after her owner Natalie Donnison photographed Ruby wearing a cute Santa suit.
We asked you to send in snaps of your animals dressed up in the finest festive get-ups and you did not disappoint.
We were inundated with entries of everything from dogs and cats to miniature Shetland ponies in their best festive outfits.
But Ruby, a Powderpuff Chinese crested, took the biscuit – and the £50 prize courtesy of Middleton Grange Shopping Centre.
Natalie, 25, of Thetford Road, Fens, Hartlepool, said: “I’m so proud of her.
“I just entered her and never thought anything else of it until I heard we had won.
“When I came in from work I gave her a big kiss and a bone.”
In her entry, Natalie, told how at just 18 weeks old Ruby is enjoying her first Christmas by getting in amongst all the wrapping paper and tinsel.
Barclaycard worker Natalie, who lives with parents Diane and Kevin and brother and sister Aaron and Faye, added: “Ruby is very playful and lovely natured. She enjoys getting cuddles and licking you.
“It is a running joke in the family that my mum got her to replace my sister who is away studying at York University.”
