A weight-loss coach is encouraging people to get fit and raise funds for patient care at Hartlepool & District Hospice.
Susan McKenna is organising a 30-day Virtual Boot Camp Challenge which people can do anywhere in the world as long as they have access to Facebook.
Each day, there will be a 15 minute challenge posted on the boot camp’s Facebook group page.
Participants can do daily challenges, then go back onto the page and share comments about their experience, fitness and energy levels. Also included on the page is a 30-day nutrition plan.Susan wants to recruit 300 people for the challenge which costs £10.
The registration fee goes to the hospice.
To join up, visit www.justgiving.com/Virtual-Boot-Camp.
Once payment is made an email is sent from Facebook asking the participant to join the group.
Hospice community fundraiser Janice Forbes said: “This is a novel way for people to get fit, lose weight, engage with new friends as well as raising money for the specialist care services we provide.”
