People can enjoy the splendour of Greatham’s snowdrops in an annual event this weekend.
For one day only the Hospital of God opens up its private wood to the public to see the flowers in all their glory.
The Snowdrop Afternoon takes place on Sunday from 1pm to 4pm.
Visitors follow a yellow trail marked with straw through the wood.
There will be also be an opportunity the hear some of the story behind the 743 year-old Hospital of God Greatham.
People are urged to wear sensible shoes as the walk covers temporary uneven paths.
Tickets will be on sale from Greatham Community Centre across the road from the gates to the garden on Front Street.
Refreshments will also be available in the community centre.
The event is run by kind permission of the trustees of the Hospital of God and is in aid of the Greatham in Bloom campaign.
Entrance to the wood is £2 to adults and £1 for children.
