Reflect on the risks we face

We are supporting the countdown to the first Project Edward (European Day Without A Road Death) with a series of 10 short, informative videos.

Every video, lasting less than 30 seconds, takes as its focus a key aspect of road safety, and offers road users a great opportunity to reflect on how they can be safer in what they do.

The informative videos include such subject matters as speed, alcohol, distractions, children crossing, advice for children, drugs and fatigue.

GEM will be tweeting the videos daily in the run-up to Project Edward.

More than 83,000 people have pledged their support for the project online via a pledge page.

We encourage all road users to reflect on the risks they face, and the risks they pose to others.

If we all aim to make small changes, then there really will be a big difference for road safety.

Every day 70 people still die on Europe’s roads.

As a result we urge drivers, riders, pedestrians, cyclists and other road users to pause for a moment on September 21.

Reflect on simple ways to reduce risk and improve safety, then we will be going a long way towards that ultimate goal of no deaths on Europe’s roads.

Please support Project Edward, sign the pledge and challenge all your friends to do the same.

Watch and share the videos.

Together, we can deliver.
