Reports of flooding on several Hartlepool roads after heavy downpours

Belle Vue Way between the Tesco and Stag and Monkey pub roundabouts are said to be flooded as well as near to Tata Steel on Brenda Road.

There are also reports of flooding on Powlett Road, South Road and at the Seal Sands roundabout.

The heavens opened at lunchtime today.

The forecast is for heavy rain showers for most of the rest of Tuesday, but Wednesday is expected to stay dry.

Cleveland Fire Brigade says it has not been called out to deal with any incidents of flooding so far.
