RESIDENTS are urged to take part in a new household survey.
Hartlepool Borough Council has teamed up with key partner organisations to distribute around 18,500 copies of the survey and the responses received will help shape public services in the future.
The survey is being posted out to a random sample of households and they have until May 31 to complete and return the form.
It asks a range of questions including satisfaction with the local area, whether people feel they can influence local decisions and how individuals feel about the council and the range of services it provides.
There are also questions about community safety and the quality of services provided by partner organisations including the police and health services.
The Hartlepool Household Survey also includes a number of questions which have been set by the Local Government Association (LGA) so that comparisons with other council areas across the country can be made.
Residents have the option to complete the paper survey and return it in the freepost envelope or to go online.
The initial findings are expected to be made available in August.
