TWO men were set to be questioned by police in connection with an alleged break-in at a popular restaurant.
Police were called to the Tavistock Italia restaurant, at the Grand Hotel, in Swainson Street, Hartlepool, at 12.50am today after a member of the public spotted two men acting suspiciously.
Two Hartlepool men, aged 29 and 26, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary. The pair were due to be questioned by officers at the Avenue Road police station this morning.
Police say there was damage to the lock and frame of the door to the basement restaurant.
