A POPULAR display of vintage cars is heading back to the area during an event taking place later this week.

The Northern Bygones Society returns to the area this Sunday, June 1, at Blackhall Community Centre, in Hesleden Road, for a classic and vintage car show.

The event runs from 10am-4pm.

It is free to display your car, though there will be a table sale, costing £7 per table.

Those who wish to run a table should ring the centre as tables are limited.

Peterlee Arts Club will also be demonstrating and exhibiting their work, and the centre’s cafe and bar will be open.

Paul Jackson, founder of the society, said: “Admission is free, so why not come and enjoy an entertaining, friendly and very interesting day?”

The Northern Bygones Society’s displays of retro motors have attracted huge crowds when they have been held in Hartlepool in recent years.

Vehicles on display have included cars, motorcycles, buses, vans, wagons and tractors from all over the region.

For further information about the event, please ring Blackhall Community Centre on (0191) 5867396 or Paul Jackson on (01325) 312183 or 07968367438.
