And while the team was made up mostly of first-team fringe men from the first five games of the National League campaign - there was one mystery triallist named.

Speculation has been rife as to who Pools might turn to next in the transfer market, with the club still looking into potentially adding one more new face to their ranks by the end of the summer. Although, of course, the transfer windows do not apply to clubs outside the Football League.
