Rihanna set to rock Sunderland once again as tour dates are announced.

Superstar Rihanna is making a return visit to the region as Sunderland is named as one of six UK places to host her forthcoming tour.

One of the biggest names in music Rihanna, will take to the stage at the city's Stadium of Light on Saturday June 18.

The venue is one of only six in the UK the global superstar has chosen to host her show and the only venue north of Manchester.

Ri Ri who has sold 54 million albums and 210 million digital tracks worldwide making her the top-selling digital artist of all time last graced the stage at the Stadium of Light in 2013.

The Bajan star will be joined by special guests The Weeknd and Big Sean.

SAFC’s commercial director, Gary Hutchinson, said: “We are thrilled to be welcoming Rihanna back to the Stadium of Light. Her first visit to Wearside was a huge success, breaking the record for concert-goers at the Stadium with over 56,000 people attending.

Tickets for the gig will go on sale Thursday December 3 from the Stadium of Light and approved ticket agents as well as online at www.livenation.com.
