A ROAD was closed for more than three hours after a two-car collision.
Police were called to Hurworth Burn, between Trimdon Village and Hartlepool, after the crash just before 6pm on Saturday.
Police say nobody was seriously hurt in the crash but the road was closed until around 9pm which officers say was due to surface water and not the aftermath of the collision.
A Durham Police spokeswoman said: “We were alerted of a crash on the road between Trimdon and Hartlepool at 5.50pm on Saturday.
“The road was then closed until around 9pm due to surface water on the road.”
