HARTLEPOOL United has confirmed the sale of the club from IOR to TMH 2014 has collapsed.
Ken Hodcroft, of owners IOR, will remain as the club’s chairman and Russ Green will remain in his position as chief executive.
The club released a short statement on the club website to confirm the news.
SportMail revealed yesterday that the takeover was no further forward and in jeopardy despite the news being first announced in mid-December that TMH (The Monkey Hangers) 2014 had taken over the club subject to Football League approval with Peter Harris set to be the new chairman.
Seven weeks on and it has now been confirmed the sale has collapsed.
A short statement on the club website said: “IOR and Hartlepool United announce that the proposed sale of IOR’s shareholding in the Club to TMH 2014 Limited is no longer proceeding.
“Ken Hodcroft remains chairman and Russ Green continues as CEO.
“The club will not be making any further comments.”
