A SCHOOL has donated more than 50 gifts to a grateful charity.
Students, teachers, support staff, cleaners, and kitchen staff from Dyke House Sports and Technology College, in Mapleton Road, Hartlepool, all contributed to the collection of presents which have been donated to the Salvation Army for Christmas.
Town businesses generously supported the festive charity work, with kind donations from Mason and Martin funeral directors, Cards R Hudsons, Asda, Morrisons and Sanderson Removals.
Sarah Ramsden, assistant headteacher at the school, said: “Dyke House are committed to supporting the local community and this term have raised over £8,000 for charity.
“The development of character, collaboration and creativity are at the heart of Dyke House, with students working together to help those less fortunate than themselves.”
