YOUNGSTERS have been doing their bit to help out feathered friends at a popular walkway.
Beavers and cub scouts from the 18th Hartlepool group have been showing off their creative skills by making bird boxes to be placed along the Hart to Haswell walkway.
The children have been helped out by countryside wardens who work for Hartlepool Borough Council.
Cub scout leader Margaret Elliott said: “The children have really enjoyed making the bird boxes, and it is nice they are able to help the community.
“We also appreciate the help given to us by the countryside wardens.”
